The 40th Anniversary of a Northwest Fall Classic

"The Head of the Lake may not be one of the biggest heads, but rowing in Seattle is something you ought to do at some point..."

Rowing Magazine, November 2018

Hosted by the Lake Washington Rowing Club and the University of Washington, the Head of the Lake Regatta welcomes rowers from the region and around the country to Seattle's most scenic waterways. Come celebrate 40 years of Northwest rowing.

Named as one of the "Great Races" by Rowing Magazine, this 3-mile course starts in Lake Union, cuts through Portage Bay and the historic Montlake Cut before finishing in Lake Washington near the UW Conibear Shellhouse.
